Tamura Beef: Award-winning Japanese premium black beef
Tamura beef is one of the top Japanese wagyu brands. Tamura Ranch is located at the border of Tottori and Hyogo prefectures. It enjoys an excellent breeding environment and fattens purebred Tajima cattle. Only young cows that have not given birth are selected. The meat is delicate, rich in fat and has a rich taste, and is deeply loved by gourmets. Tamura Farm relies on abundant natural resources, including clear, pollution-free water, to raise top-quality Wagyu beef.
Tamura beef is known as the representative of Japan’s top black beef, and its quality and deliciousness have won numerous praises and awards. As one of the origins of branded Wagyu, the breeding of Tamura beef is inherited from Tajima beef, which is the root of all branded Wagyu beef. Tamura beef is made from precious purebred Tajima beef and virgin cows of Tajima descent, and is bred using ideal methods to create unparalleled high-quality Wagyu beef.
Exclusive formula feed "Vintage Beef"
The completely original “Vintage Beef” concentrated feed is used in the breeding process of Tamura cattle. This is carefully developed by the current president Masamichi Tamura based on the traditional self-made formula after many years of research and experiments. The feed does not contain additives, preservatives, animal protein, animal fat or antibiotics, ensuring the safety and health of cattle.
Wheat-based feeding method
Unlike general feed that is mainly corn-based, Tamura beef feed is mainly made of wheat. This choice is specifically made to cater to the Japanese preference for beef flavor and further enhance the unique flavor of the meat.
Honor and quality assurance
Tamura beef has won numerous awards at Japan’s largest beef competition, the National Beef Association, especially in the female Wagyu category, where it has won the Best Award many times, which is the best proof of its excellent quality and delicious taste.
Currently, there are about 2,200 Tamura cattle raised, and these female cows are known for their excellent meat quality, fineness of fat, and unique aroma. Its fat is rich in unsaturated fatty acids, especially oleic acid, which is the key source of beef fat and aroma.
The breeding of Tamura cattle begins with the careful selection of each cow to ensure that each cow has excellent genes and potential. Tamura Livestock believes that the key to high-quality beef lies in the perfect combination of “vegetarian beef, feed and breeding.”
